Horse Mood declares one Test Boost Proprietary Blend of 1,200 mg containing eight ingredients, in this printed order: horny goat weed, tongkat ali, saw palmetto, nettle, wild yam, sarsaparilla, orchic substance and boron amino acid chelate. No individual amount is published, and no extract states a standardisation percentage.

First in the printed order, so the heaviest ingredient in the capsule. Its active compound is icariin, and a 2019 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled human trial gave icariin from 100 mg up to 1,680 mg and found blood levels very low or undetectable, with nearly all samples below 1 ng/mL. Absorption, not dose, is the problem here.
The one ingredient on this label with a placebo-controlled trial pointing the right way. A 2021 study gave 200 mg a day of a standardised aqueous root extract to 105 men aged 50 to 70 with low baseline testosterone, for twelve weeks, and saw total testosterone rise. Its ceiling here clears that dose. Its actual amount is not published.
A prostate ingredient rather than a hormonal one. A 2023 review of 27 studies found saw palmetto alone gives little or no benefit for benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms. Nothing links it to raising testosterone or to the phrase on the front of this bottle.
Studied alongside saw palmetto for urinary symptoms rather than on its own for hormones. Memorial Sloan Kettering notes positive clinical results mainly when nettle is combined with other herbs, including a saw palmetto combination for nighttime urinary frequency.
On the label because laboratories use its diosgenin as a raw material for making steroid hormones. Memorial Sloan Kettering is blunt about the leap that follows: there is no evidence that the human body can convert diosgenin into progesterone.
Sixth of eight. Long used in traditional preparations and sometimes marketed as a steroid precursor on the same reasoning as wild yam, which does not hold up here either. No established dose for this use.
Bovine testicle tissue. The reference monographs say there is no good scientific evidence to support its use, that it is not clear whether it provides testosterone, and that there is not enough reliable information to know what an appropriate dose would be.
The mineral with the most plausible hormonal mechanism and the smallest possible share, since last place is always the blend total divided by the number of members. Typical total intake is 1.0 to 1.5 mg a day and the adult upper limit is 20 mg, so any real share is safe.

That is the whole disclosure. Horny goat weed weighs more than tongkat ali, which weighs more than saw palmetto, and so on down to boron. You never learn by how much.
The rule protects a real commercial interest. The side effect is that the buyer cannot evaluate the product either, and the buyer is the one paying.
Descending order is a mathematical statement, not a stylistic one: the ingredient in position n cannot exceed the blend total divided by n. That single fact makes the table below possible, and it is the only quantitative work this label permits.

Two have a dose worth reaching and a ceiling that clears it. Four have no established dose at all.
This is the second disclosure failure, and it compounds the first.
A standardised extract states what proportion of it is the compound the research is about. That figure is what lets a buyer convert milligrams into a meaningful dose. Not one extract here carries one: not icariin, not eurycomanone, not saw palmetto fatty acids, not diosgenin.
So even if the manufacturer published every individual milligram tomorrow, you still could not compare them against the trials, because the trials used standardised material and this label does not say what is in its extracts.
Plenty of products hide their amounts inside a blend, and plenty of those still print a standardisation. This one does neither.
Read as groups rather than as a list, the formula makes more sense.
Tongkat ali and boron, second and last in the order. A placebo-controlled trial at 200 mg a day, and a plausible mechanism with a well-characterised intake range.
Saw palmetto and nettle root, third and fourth. Studied for urinary symptoms rather than testosterone, and weakly even for those.

One matters. Gelatin is the capsule shell and it is an animal product, making this unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans, and it is the second animal-derived component after the orchic substance. The rest are ordinary: two fillers, a disintegrant, two anti-stick agents and a flow agent, none of them active.
It names the plant part for every botanical and gives a Latin binomial for six of the seven. The same plant is chemically different in different parts, so that detail is genuinely useful, and somebody took care over it. The care stopped at the amounts.
