HorseMood Supplement Facts: 6 Steps to Read the Label
A Supplement Facts panel is small, and it is the most reliable document in the whole product. Here is how to read the HorseMood panel in six steps, in the order your eyes meet the lines.
The HorseMood Supplement Facts panel lists a serving size of 2 capsules with 30 servings per container. It then prints one line: Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 1200 mg, Daily Value not established. Eight ingredients follow with no individual amounts. The other ingredients end with the gelatin capsule. The back panel carries the FDA statement.

What does the HorseMood Supplement Facts panel actually contain?
Three kinds of line. First, how much to count as one serving. Second, what the product contains per serving. Third, everything else the maker must tell you, such as other ingredients and the statement about the FDA.
On this bottle the second kind is very short. There is exactly one quantity on the whole panel. That is not unusual in a category that uses proprietary blends. It does change how you should read the rest.
The panel sits on the back of the bottle, beside a separate side panel with directions, storage, caution and a boxed warning. We take the six steps below from both.
Key facts
- Serving size: 2 capsules. Servings per container: 30. The bottle holds 60 capsules.
- One quantity: Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 1200 mg, with Daily Value not established.
- Eight ingredients inside the blend, listed heaviest first, with no individual amounts.
- Other ingredients: calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, gelatin capsule.
- Side panel: suggested use one or two capsules daily, storage, caution, a boxed warning and an expiry of 07-2028.
- The FDA statement is printed on the back panel. The front phrase, Male Enhancement, has no asterisk.
What are the 6 steps to read the HorseMood label?
Take them top to bottom. Each step names the line, what it tells you and what it leaves out.
Step 1. Serving size and servings per container
The panel says 2 capsules and 30 servings. A 60-capsule bottle matches that: 30 servings of 2. But the side panel says take one or two capsules daily. So a bottle can last 30 days or 60 days, and the panel counts only the first.
Step 2. The blend line
Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 1200 mg. This is the whole quantitative disclosure. Under 21 CFR 101.36(c), a blend declares one total for all its dietary ingredients, and individual amounts are not required. The footnote beside it says Daily Value not established.
Step 3. The eight names, in printed order
Horny goat weed extract leaf, tongkat ali powder root, saw palmetto extract fruit, nettle extract root, wild yam extract root, sarsaparilla root, orchic substance, and boron amino acid chelate. Weight sets the order, heaviest first. The panel names a plant part and a Latin name for each of the six plants.
Step 4. The footnote
Under the blend the panel prints Daily Value Not Established. On this printing it is spelled correctly. We mention it only because the same eight-ingredient blend is sold under other brand names and not every printing is identical. The small print is a good place to compare a bottle against a photograph.
Step 5. Other ingredients
Calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide are ordinary capsule helpers. The last item, gelatin capsule, is an animal product. Together with orchic substance, which is bovine testicle tissue, that makes two animal-derived parts.
Step 6. The side panel and the FDA statement
Suggested use is one or two capsules daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. Storage says keep away from heat, light, and humidity to preserve freshness. The caution says do not exceed recommended dose and names three groups to consult a physician first. The boxed warning repeats three rules: keep out of the reach of children, do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing, and store in a cool, dry place. The expiry on this batch is 07-2028.

What does each line tell you, and what does it hide?
Read the middle column as a fact and the right-hand column as the gap.
| Line | What it tells you | What it leaves unsaid |
|---|---|---|
| Serving size and servings | 2 capsules and 30 servings in the container | Why the side panel also allows one capsule |
| Test Boost Proprietary Blend | 1200 mg in total | How much of each of the eight names is in a capsule |
| Ingredient names and parts | Plant parts and Latin names for six plants | A standardisation figure for any extract |
| Daily Value footnote | Daily Value not established | Nothing, for blends of botanicals this is normal |
| Other ingredients | Seven items, ending with the gelatin capsule | Nothing that changes the active list |
| Suggested use | One or two capsules daily with 8 oz. of water | Who should take one and who two, and for how long |
| Expiry and lot | 07-2028 and HOR-26/TH-6587 on this batch | A test report. Only a certificate reference, HOR-6587-26-TH, exists |
| Distributor | Nothing. No Distributed by line is printed | Who the maker or distributor is |
Where is the FDA statement, and why do people ask about the front?
The statement reads: these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It is printed on the back panel, at the foot of the Supplement Facts box.
The front of the bottle carries the phrase Male Enhancement with no asterisk and no statement on that panel. The rule, 21 CFR 101.93(d), asks for the statement on each panel that carries such a claim, either next to the claim or linked to it by a symbol such as an asterisk, and set off in a box if not adjacent.
Whether the two words are a claim in the regulatory sense is a judgement. We print the rule and the label and leave that judgement to you. Whatever the answer, the main point stands: no FDA approval exists for this product, and it is no treatment for a medical condition.
What would a fuller label add?
Four things are standard on many labels in this category, and each would answer a question that this panel leaves open.
- An amount for each active ingredient, so you could compare tongkat ali with the 200 mg used in its trial.
- A standardisation percentage for each extract, so milligrams could be compared with research at all.
- A named distributor or manufacturer with an address, so a buyer has someone to write to.
- A test report for the batch, not only a reference number.
The panel does one thing well. It names a plant part and a species for each plant, and that care is real. The disclosure stops at the blend total. If you value a checkable dose, the gap is the main thing to weigh. If you value a simple daily capsule and accept the gap, the panel is easy to read and easy to live with.

Frequently asked questions
What is on the HorseMood Supplement Facts panel?
A serving size of 2 capsules and 30 servings in the container, and one line: Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 1200 mg, Daily Value not established. Eight ingredients follow in printed order with no individual amounts.
What is the HorseMood dosage?
The directions allow one or two capsules a day with 8 oz. of water. The panel counts 2 capsules as one serving, which is 1200 mg of blend. Who should take which is not stated.
Why are there no individual ingredient amounts?
Because the label uses a proprietary blend. Under 21 CFR 101.36(c), a blend declares the total weight and lists its ingredients in descending order by weight. Individual amounts are not required.
What are the other ingredients in HorseMood capsules?
Calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and the gelatin capsule.
Where is the FDA statement on the bottle?
On the back panel, at the foot of the Supplement Facts box. The front shows the phrase Male Enhancement without an asterisk.
What expiry and lot does the bottle carry?
The batch we know has an expiry of 07-2028 and lot HOR-26/TH-6587. A different lot is normal. A bottle with no lot code is not.
Our view
A good label teaches you something in a minute. This one does, and then it stops. In a minute you learn the serving, the one total, the eight names in weight order and the gelatin shell. You do not learn how much of any name you swallow.
That is the honest centre of our view of HorseMood. The panel is neat, and it is carefully spelled and detailed about plant parts. It is thin on the one thing that would let you check it against research.
Read the panel, and then read the gaps. Keep the bottle for your pharmacist. Last, keep the plain facts close: no FDA approval, no treatment claim, and no printed ingredient amounts.
